There is increasing pressure to deliver more results from less people, less money and less time. A change in demographics with over 65s due to be above 5 million by 2023 means fewer people in the workforce. Also, software such as artificial intelligence promises to automate many existing jobs. Both of these changes increase the need to improve productivity and deliver more with less.
The deliver more with less, you need to focus on what you want to deliver to your customers and what you are going to stop delivering to free up resources. These spare resources can then be used to start new activities that will create extra value for your customers and allow you to capture extra value for your company.
